Reserve Forces & Cadets Association
Northern Ireland

30 September 2019

Cadets from 2nd (NI) Battalion Army Cadet Force have turned in star performances to earn prestigious certificates of achievement, presented recently by Colonel Jonny Rollins, Chief Executive of the Reserve Forces and Cadets' Association for Northern Ireland.

In addition to talented teens earning Cadet 4 Star Awards, conferred in recognition of outstanding achievement and commitment within the Cadet movement, a number of cadets earned her Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award and a large number were recognised as ‘Master Cadets’. The Master Cadet Course is designed to broaden and develop further the leadership, instructional and administrative responsibilities of 4-star Cadets, helping them to make better use of their abilities.

In today’s highly competitive world, achievements such as these, coupled with the wider experiences and training offered by the ACF, are a real asset to young people, giving them something really positive to add to their Personal Statements as they apply for college or university places or take their first steps into the world of work.  They are also a fantastic boost to confidence, helping our Cadets to realise just how much they can achieve when they set their minds to something.

We will have a full press release to follow in the coming days.
