Army Cadet Force in Northern Ireland

There are 1800 Army Cadets in Northern Ireland in two Cadet battalions, each consisting of four companies, comprising 69 detachments located throughout the Province. Their Charter is to inspire young people to achieve success in life with a spirit of service to the Queen, their Country and their local community, and to develop in them the qualities of a good citizen.

The Army Cadet Force (ACF) is a national, voluntary youth organisation sponsored by the Army, for boys and girls aged 13-18 years old.

The ACF aims to provide young people with opportunities and training to build their skills and confidence and enable them to become responsible, caring citizens.
