Cadets from C Company, 1st (NI) Battalion Army Cadet Force (ACF) received recognition for their achievements over the last year, in a ceremony attended by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for County Antrim, Mrs Joan Christie OBE DL.
The awards presented included the prestigious ACF 4 Star award, the BTEC award in Public Services and the National Orienteering Award.
Congratulating the cadets, Colonel David Kane paid tribute to their great achievements. He said, “These cadets have shown outstanding commitment to the Cadet movement, balancing the demands of school work, family and, of course, teenage social commitments with exemplary dedication to the ACF. Their hard work and enthusiasm will stand them in good stead as they apply for university or start on the career ladder.”
