For the second time in three years, D Company, 1st (NI) Battalion, Army Cadet Force have been rewarded for their efforts and presented with a Fundraising Excellence Award at the ABF, The Soldiers Charity in Northern Ireland Awards.
The event took place on Saturday 19th September and to receive the Award on behalf of the Adult Volunteers and Cadets of D Company was the CSMI Tom Kirkham along with two SI Instructors, Catherine Pawson and Patrisha Coleman.
The money was raised by the Cadets taking part in a number of Shopping Centre Bag Packs along with staff volunteering their services to the ABF at other events.
The Award was presented by the 38 (Irish) Brigade Commander, Brigadier Andrew Roe.
