FOYLE COLLEGE CADET RECEIVES PRESENTATION FROM DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE

LCpl Clarke Lindsay (14) of Foyle College CCF holds a frame containing his great grandfathers medals and photo, presented to his family by the Irish Guards, at a ceremony in which his grandfather Derek Jones received the Elizabeth Cross from Prince William on behalf of his Father, LCpl T M Jones, Irish Guards who was killed in action 4th Feb 1948 in Palestine Isreal. The family were invited to the Barronscourt Estate, the residence of the Duke of Abercorn to meet Prince William and receive the special presentation.
