RESERVISTS AND EMPLOYERS RECEIVE RECOGNITION AT VIP EVENT

Local Reservist, Major Ricky Taylor, OC 108 Medical Squadron, 253 (Medical) Regiment, recently attended the VIP Reserves Recognition Event at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London, along with his employer, Mr Nigel McIlwaine OBE, Group Finance and Human Resources Director at Foyle Food Group.

The event consisted of an afternoon reception where reservists and their employers were recognised for their contributions to Defence and included speeches from senior Defence and Government representatives including the Foreign Secretary and the Secretary of State.

The guest list included around 90 reservists from the Civil Service and their managers; reservists and their employers from each of the 13 Reserve Forces and Cadets Association regions and other VIPs including Ministers and Service Chiefs.
