The Northern Ireland Army Cadet Rugby 7s teams put in a tough performance at the recent national ACFA competition held at Brecon, seeing off many of the opposing teams in a grueling tournament.
Both the senior team and the intermediate team fought hard in what was a superb competition, with the senior team coming in as runners up to Wales and the intermediate team coming 4th.
All of the players performed exceptionally well and should be congratulated on their performances, attitude and overall sportsmanship.
A special mention goes to Cadet Sergeant Callum Peters, from Lurgan Open Detachment, E Company, 2nd (NI) Battalion, who was named not only best senior player of the tournament but also the best overall player. Callum was presented with a gift certificate by Brigadier Matthew Lowe, the ACF’s Deputy Commander Cadets, who also refereed some of the matches.
Congratulations to all those who took part.
