TS Royalist, the Sea Cadets flagship, paid its first visit to Belfast since being commissioned in 2015.
The ship was led into the Port of Belfast by a Fire Tug spraying the way, with a back drop of the well known Belfast sky line.
During her visit, she hosted cadets from the 11 Sea Cadet Training Ships in Northern Ireland, as well as hosting a drinks reception for local dignitaries and the naming ceremony for the region’s 2 new RS Quests. (The RS Quests are new sailing dinghies developed by RS Sailing in conjunction with the Sea Cadets.)
Guests visiting TS Royalist were impressed at both the quality of the ship and the professionalism and enthusiasm of the Sea Cadet instructors on-board. Hopefully, many Sea Cadets from Northern Ireland will get a chance to sail as part of her crew over the many years to come.
