This exclusive Sea Cadet film is shot over the year of the build-work of TS Royalist, covering the launch and first voyages at sea. It presents a powerful endorsement of the motivations for embarking on the project.
You can see the ship emerge as a fast-forward through its construction, and share in the proud moment of the royal naming by HRH The Princess Royal, Commissioning ceremony and, the thrill of the first cadet voyages. It is the cadets’ voices that bring home the impact this project has and will deliver for Sea Cadets for decades to come. Their excitement, anticipation and enthusiasm for the vessel and all that it represents for them – friendship, adventure, challenge and determination is evidence of the incredible achievement the Charity has brought to the fore by working together, accomplished for them through determined support.
The journey however is not over, as Sea Cadets seek to ensure it can offer all cadets regardless of their financial background, a chance to be part of this adventure. The bursary appeal has now raised £330k of the £500k target developing confidence, laying firm foundations for future success as cadets step into adulthood.
