Expedition ‘Venturer Snow Finn 2025’ was an exciting and unforgettable experience for all involved, designed to challenge participants both physically and mentally while building key skills such as resilience, teamwork, and leadership. The trip took place in the winter wonderland of stunning snow-covered mountains of Pila Aosta Valley in Italy.
The group consisted of a mix of experienced and beginner skiers, each working together as a team to build confidence and progress from nursery slopes to the challenge of more challenging blue and even red runs. After a few intense days of the skiing the group enjoyed a trip to nearby Aosta town for a little retail therapy, sample the delicious local cuisine and take in the stunning surroundings.
Commenting on the fantastic experience, Cadet Sgt Adam Magill said “At the start of the week, I had never put on a pair of skis before, and by the end, I was flying down red slopes! It was amazing to see how much we could improve in such a short time. The support from my teammates and instructors made all the difference. This trip was an amazing experience I will never ever forget”
The expedition’s success was due in no small part to the determination and enthusiasm of all participants, as well as the generous support provided by the Ulysses Trust.
