The 2nd Battalion The Royal Irish Regiment are on the rise again in the field of shooting as seven members travelled to Bisley, the home of Army Shooting, to compete in this years Army Reserve Operational Shooting ‘Pistol’ Competition, having already represented the Battalion in the Rifle competition in June.
A total of 24 teams drawn from the Army, Navy and RAF took part, totalling 150 competitors. The 2 R IRISH team were placed 8th overall with Cpl Ross being placed in the top 15 individual shots and the remainder of the team in the top 100.
