In a change from the usual format, RFCA NI held their annual briefing at Cultra Manor in Bangor, followed by a superb lunch.
Despite “The Beast from the East” causing weather and transport chaos around 60 members of the Association joined the RFCA NI staff for an update on reserve and cadet matters. They also had the privilege of receiving a very emotive and thought provoking brief from RAF Air Commodore Harv Smyth OBE.
The members were also delighted to welcome POC Paddy Cush, Lord Lieutenant Cadet for the City of Belfast, Sea Cadets, who gave a very inspiring presentation about the opportunities that he has had as a cadet.
This was followed by another excellent presentation by an adult volunteer, 1Bn (NI) Army Cadet Force, who spoke passionately about their experiences and the opportunities that are available to those involved.
RFCA NI would like to thank all of the speakers for giving up their time to provide such enlightening and interesting presentations. We would also like to thank everyone who attended, despite the conditions.
