Connect To Protect signs the Armed Forces Covenant

Connect To Protect has become the latest organisation in Northern Ireland to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

The charity’s framed Covenant pledge was presented by Brigadier Mike Murdoch following the Royal Gun Salute at Hillsborough Castle.

As a newly established charity, Connect To Protect aims to support veterans and their families through veteran awareness training, peer support and practical engagement with services across Northern Ireland.

Michael Donaldson of Connect To Protect said:

“As Connect To Protect begins its journey as a new charity, launching at the start of November 26, we were truly honoured to be presented with our framed Armed Forces Covenant pledge by Brigadier Mike Murdoch following the Royal Gun Salute at Hillsborough Castle. 
My sincere thanks to everyone at RFCA NI for their support and for recognising CTP’s commitment to the Armed Forces community.
Through the delivery of veteran awareness training, peer support, and practical engagement with services across Northern Ireland, Connect To Protect remains committed to connecting people, protecting minds, and improving awareness and support for all veterans and their families.

As we continue to grow, we are also actively seeking funding opportunities and partnership working with organisations who share our commitment to improving support for the Armed Forces community.”

Darren Niven, Defence Relationship Manager for Northern Ireland, added:

The Defence Relationship Management team works with organisations of all sizes and sectors across Northern Ireland, helping them understand how they can support serving personnel, Reservists, veterans and their families through the Armed Forces Covenant.
