What a thrill this week for RFCA NI to join members of the Royal Navy and several Employers of Reservists on board HMS Mersey. The event was organised by Defence Relationship Management Northern Ireland as the ship stopped in Belfast for a short visit.
The event presented a fantastic opportunity to showcase the Royal Navy in action and strengthen the ties between Defence and Employers across the region. Huge thanks to the ship’s company for the warm welcome and for sharing the lived in experience of life at sea. It was especially good to hear that some of the crew had also spent time in the reserves – a brilliant remember of how transferable those skills are, both in and out of uniform.
Engagement like this is at the heart of what the Defence Relationship Management does; connecting people, building relationships and championing the vital role our Armed Forces play both at home and abroad
