Cadets from across Northern Ireland put their shooting prowess to the test during the NI Cadet Rifle Meeting – a challenging weekend of competitions held at Ballykinler.
Seven different matches were held over the course of the weekend – a mixture of individual and team events – using the Cadet Training Rifle.
The overall individual Champion at Arms Winner was Flight Sergeant Adam Feathers from Foyle College Londonderry CCF. (Pictured below).
The runner up was Corporal Adam Smith from F Company 2nd (NI) Bn ACF, Ballykinler (below) :

Also worthy of praise was G Company 2nd (NI) Bn ACF, (Peninsula), pictured below, who were winners of match 5. From left: Cadet Lance Corporal Craig Kennedy, Cadet Corporal Melissa McDevitte, Cadet Corporal Rebecca Harrison and Cadet Corporal Cameron Moore.
Rifle shooting is one of the most popular and exciting of the many sports and activities offered by the Cadets and that is reflected in the high numbers of skilled competitors in the competition, each with their eyes on the prize! They should all be congratulated on their achievements.
