Cadets from across the Province demonstrated their generosity and community spirit over the festive period, fund-raising for many good causes and donating Christmas goodies to those families less fortunate than themselves. Amongst the many ventures were:
B Company Army Cadet Force held big cuppa nights in their Detachments in aid of Autism NI. Ballymoney, Drumahoe and Lisneal Detachments have raised £152.71 in total so far.
Fermanagh & Omagh RAF Air Cadets donated Christmas Hampers to St. Vincent De Paul and the Salvation Army to support local families this Christmas.
The Sea Cadet units, all of which are individual registered charities, braved the winter weather and were out in force, bag-packing in their local supermarkets, to raise much-needed funds to keep their units “afloat”. Indeed, Belfast Eagle Sea cadets raised £1,231 and Portrush Sea Cadets raised £647, thanks to the cadets’ enthusiasm and hard work.
A huge well done to you all and keep up the good work in 2018!
