HMS Hibernia recently received a generous donation from the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity for the refurbishment of the Combined Mess. The Royal Navy and Royal Marine Charity is, ‘the principal charity of the Royal Navy. It exists to support sailors, marines and their families for life.’
The donation has massively improved the social facilities within Hibernia, providing members with a safe and comfortable space to socialise with family, friends and colleagues.
The Mess Members pass on their thanks to Commodore Maritime Reserves, Commodore Martin Quinn ADC, who re-opened the Combined Mess to unveil a commemorative plaque that hangs proudly on the wall.
Senior and Junior Rates are extremely grateful for the support they have been given through the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity, and look forward to spending their free time relaxing within the newly transformed Combined Mess.
