NI CADETS RIGHT ON TARGET

Keen-eyed Cadets from across Northern Ireland took part in the Inter-Service Cadet Rifle Meeting held recently at Magilligan Cadet Training Centre, County Londonderry.  The competition is one of the most popular and hotly contested competitions in the Cadet calendar and this year it was just as fiercely fought.

The prizes were presented this year by Colonel David McCleary.

The top team overall, pictured above, was from Campbell College CCF; from left: Cadet Sergeant Mark Caves, Cadet Corporal Mark Ashe, Cadet Sergeant Harry Kyle, Cadet Corporal Ryan Lindsay.

Top individual shot on the day was Corporal Jordan Stewart from Markethill Detachment, E Company, 2nd (NI) Bn ACF:

The winner of Match 1 was Cadet Corporal Chris Ashe from Campbell College CCF, pictured below:

The individual winner of Match 2 was Corporal Ben Hazelton from Dungannon detachment, A Company, 1st (NI) Bn ACF (pictured below left), whilst the team winners of Match 2 were cadets from F Company, 2nd (NI) Bn ACF, pictured below right. (from left:  Cadet Lance Corporal Joel Hillis, Cadet Sergeant Cora McCartan, Cadet Sergeant Kenny Orr; Cadet Corporal Shaun O’Reilly).

 

The individual winner of match 4 was Cadet Colour Sergeant Amy Inman from Royal School Armagh CCF (below left) with the team winners of Match 4 from G Company, 2nd (NI) Bn ACF, pictured below right: (from left) Cadet Corporal Cameron Moore, Cadet Corporal Tom Parsons, Cadet Corporal Melissa McDevitt, cadet Corporal Ryan McAslan).
