The Northern Ireland ACF inter-Battalion Sports competition took place yesterday with fantastic performances from both Battalions. After a busy but exciting day, the results were in and both Battalions won 6 events each.
The results were as follows:
- Junior Football 1 Bn win
- Senior Football 2 Bn win
- Intermediate Rugby 2 Bn win
- Senior Rugby 1 Bn win
- Girls Tag Rugby 2 Bn win
- Junior Boys Cross Country 2 Bn win
- Intermediate Boys Cross Country 2 Bn win
- Senior Boys Cross Country 1 Bn win
- Junior Girls Cross Country 1 Bn win
- Intermediate Girls Cross Country 1 Bn win
- Senior Girls Cross Country 1 Bn win
The Event is an opportunity for cadets to compete on an Inter Battalion basis and develop the skills required to “Go further “and compete at National level.
After competing Cadets were rewarded with winners medals and a cup after what was a challenging but enjoyable round of heats.
At present 1st Bn have 7 cadets selected to attend the national football Competition and 4 cadets for X-Country at Warcop 11-13 March 2016. 1st Bn also have 14 cadets selected to attend the National Rugby Competition.
