An armada of people set sail for the return of the Belfast Titanic Maritime Festival in the city’s Titanic Quarter over the bank holiday weekend on the 28th May.
The festival featured a fleet of tall ships, sailing demonstrations, zany street theatre performances, Try a Boat, PR Stands and the Northern Area Sea Cadets Band providing entertainment for thousands of people who passed through the event.
Most of the action took place in the Queen’s Quay and Abercorn Basin areas of the harbour. Families also got the opportunity to get up close with old sea dog, Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean films, while the HMS Ramsey offered a glimpse of life in the modern Royal Navy.
The weather was brilliant, which always helps with the crowds and overall the festival was a great success and the Sea Cadets very much enjoyed the time both on and off the water.
