
The Young First Aider of the Year Awards is a prestigious annual event hosted by St John Ambulance for outstanding young people selected from those awarded Young First Aider of the Year certificates over the previous 12 months. Nominees represent schools, St John Ambulance cadets and other organisations as well as all services cadet forces. Over the past year ACFA/CCFA supported nominations for 50 ACF cadets, 10 CCF cadets and 1 Sea Cadet (ATC nominate direct) who all received Young First Aider of the Year certificates.
14 young people have been selected by St John Ambulance to receive Young First Aider of the Year awards this year. They include a remarkable 10 ACF cadets and the ACFA supported Sea Cadet. These 11 services cadets will join 3 other young people to receive their awards at a ceremony at the HQ of the Order of St John on Saturday 12 May. The cadets are:
